Bonjour !

If you are in Paris beginning of this month, no doubt you will hear about the "Foire de Paris". From kitchen, bathroom and household appliances to arts, craft and used car exhibition, you have it all at the "Foire de Paris". In fact, it is the place to be to discover new tendancies.

The "Foire de Paris" has been created in 1904 and was hold in the Champs de Mars until 1923. Since, it takes place every year in the "Porte de Versailles" (South-West of Paris).

A "foire" is a market, a fair, a place where people meet to buy / exchange goods. In French, you can use the word "marché" as well as "salon". You will find below some helpful words to better understand and express yourself about this Paris Trade Fair. This month, we want to introduce you to what we think is the absolute best method for beginners in French. Actually, I used it to learn Russian, and can testify how effective it is.

Dr. Pimsleur's Method of Learning is based on two key principles: the Principle of Anticipation and a scientific principle of memory that he called Graduated Interval Recall. This program incorporates both of these principles to provide you with the most simple and effective learning method possible. His method also incorporates two other unique components that are also important: Core Vocabulary Acquisition, and the Organic Learning Method.

Just have a look at the customer reviews on Amazon:

"I really wish I'd discovered Pimsleur earlier. Over the decades I have been exposed to countless different linguistic approaches to learning languages, but none have impressed me as much as that of Pimsleur."

"With Pimsleur you are guaranteed a meticulously structured approach to learning in which you can have complete confidence. Also many of us lead busy lives and may have trouble making it to classes. With Pimsleur CDs and an MP3 player you can learn while you drive, while sitting in the train, while waiting in long queues or while going around the supermarket. Half an hour here and there soon adds up."

Your advantages buying with ParisBypod and Amazon partnership:

  • you save 37% on the price!
  • we will give you access FOR FREE to 25 of our 200 Audio French Verbs. Yes, you will be able to listen to 25 verbs conjugated in 7 most-used tenses, read by both a male and a female teacher voice. That's a very easy and effective way to perfect your pronunciation of French sounds.
