June is a very festive and noisy month in Paris. And do you know why ? Because everybody in Paris and France is waiting for this special day known as the “ Fête de la Musique”.

If you are in Paris on June 21st, you will be the witness of something very artistic : people gather in the streets and play their music. Guitars, keyboards, drums, saxophone : get ready for a unique concert live in the streets of Paris.

The idea of this music festival was conceived by former French Ministry of Culture Jack Lang in 1981. The “ Fête de la Musique” is now so popular that it is organized worldwide under the name of World Music Day. New York City held its first “Fête de la Musique” in 2007.
