How to Construct an Effective French Lesson Plan
There are lots of ways to learn French. And the efficiency on which you'll learn the language depends upon the method you'll use. This is the reason why you have to build an effective French lesson plan for yourself so that it becomes easier for you to learn the language and to speak it fluently.
When building a French lesson plan, follow these suggestions:
1. Start your lessons with simple French sounds.
Instead of learning simple French words, it is better to start your French lesson with French phonetics. Phonetics would guide you in pronouncing French words better. Learning how each letter of the English alphabet sound in the French language would definitely facilitate the whole learning process. Contrary to what other French language schools teach, you have to create a French lesson plan that starts off with familiarizing French sounds.
2. Learn the most commonly used French words.
Commonly used French words are needed in constructing sentences. You can add the following nouns in your French lesson plan: man, woman, house, street, and animals. Verbs such as eat, see, hear, invite, and drink are commonly used as well. Conjunctions and prepositions should be learnt too. More often than not, online French language lessons start off with the introduction of these simple French words. However, it should only be the second module of your French lesson plan. By doing so, you will learn French far more deeply othan others.
3. Construct French phrases and sentences.
In all reality, you have to learn how to construct French phrases and sentences instead of just memorizing them. If you know what you're talking about and are not just reciting a line directly taken from a French language tape, then you can truly say that you are learning the language. Knowing and speaking French words isn't the end goal of the lesson. You should learn French words with the ultimate aim of putting those words together to form a coherent and grammatically correct French sentence. That's how your French lesson plan should be modeled.
