You can play and enjoy video podcasts on your iPod; video podcasts are exactly the same as normal podcasts they just have video as well as audio. If you think of podcasts as being radio shows you download, then you can imagine video podcasts as being the podcasters answer to TV shows. This article will explain all you need to know to find video podcasts for your iPod.

Open iTunes (you should have got it with your iPod, if you don’t have it you can download it from the iTunes website) and click on the store link in the list on the left of your screen.

Once you are in the iTunes store click on the link for podcasts.

Take a look around, you can peruse the featured podcasts or select a topic you are interested in from the subcategories.

To find a video podcast read the titles as they generally let you know if the podcast contains video, instead of being a normal audio podcast.

Once you find one you like click on it and the podcast detail page will load, which will list the available episodes and price for you. Click subscribe to download the latest episode or click get episode to choose a particular one.

Now sync your iPod. Connect your iPod to the computer and let it sync automatically or drag the file to your iPod icon to sync manually.

The video podcast is now loaded onto your iPod and ready to watch.

To view a video podcast on your iPod you must have a fifth generation or later video iPod.

Many video podcasts that you can find on iTunes are free! So make sure you have the latest version of iTunes (check for updates regularly) and start searching for your favourite celebrity, singer or TV show to see if they have a podcast.

One note of warning if you search for and find video podcasts on websites other than iTunes and download them they may not be compatible with your iPod and the video may not play.
