Bonjour and merci for your comments.
This is Frédéric from ParisByPod.

In French, there are two genders : masculine or feminine.
(f) stands for “feminine”, which means you will have to use articles like “ la ” or “ une ” or “ l' ”
(m) stands for “ masculine”, coming with the articles “ le ” or “ un ” or “ l' ”

Here are the genders for the following words:

Guitare (f)

Piano (m)

Flute (f)

Batterie (f)

Bass (f)

Trompette (f)

Saxophone (m)

Clarinette (f)

Ampli (m)

Enceinte (f)

Scène (f)

Public (m)

Concert (m)

Répétition (f)

Coulisse (f)

Tell me if you need more information!

In response to Hong above, I would say most of the words are feminin but for concert and piano. I am not sure about audience and flute though. Any ideas?
